Our Anchorage office has received the Honor Award for their Ramah Navajo Chapter Long Range Transportation Plan & Strategic Safety Plan. The award was presented at the 2017 Engineers Week Awards Banquet, which is an annual celebration of Alaska’s engineering projects and individual accomplishments.

The plans our team put together for this project were models of place-sensitive, client-based transportation planning for rural tribal entities. The planning approach to development of the documents allowed Tribal priorities to drive progress from beginning to end. The resulting plans successfully reflect local priorities and represent a realistic path forward for Ramah Navajo Chapter transportation projects over the next twenty years.

By going above and beyond standard practices of transportation plan preparation, the project team created a document shaped by community priorities from start to finish. Congratulations to Anchorage and to everyone who worked on this project.
