Hunt Building Company, Ltd (HBC) contracted WHPacific (WHP) to provide architecture and engineering services for this Design-Build project for the US Army at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri_ The project provides housing for unaccompanied (single) enlisted personnel. The barracks provide very efficient townhouse style apartment living for 240 soldiers. WHP provided the entire design including civil site design, landscaping, site lighting, paving, walks, curbs and gutter, storm water management, architecture, structural design, plumbing, heating and air conditioning, electrical, and fire protection. This project has been designed and submitted for LEED Gold certification. WHP made design submittals and worked with both HBC and the technical reviewers of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Kansas City District) to make sure the project complied with all technical requirements. And further, throughout the course of the actual construction, WHP was very supportive with the Request-for-Information process.
