Project Description

This project includes primarily the rehabilitation of Runway 17-35. The runway is 5,318 feet long by 100 feet wide and has exceeded its useful life. Improvements include constructing new run-up aprons at each end and transition taxiway paving as well as visual NAVAID, safety area, and grading improvements. The USFS uses the airport frequently during fire season, so an existing taxiway will be transformed to a temporary runway for daytime operations during the runway rehabilitation work.
