WHPacific provided survey, civil design, and construction staking services to the Nisqually Tribe for their Lashi Street Housing Development Project. The project included topographic and boundary survey of the property, design of approximately 2,500 feet of new road, preparation of bid documents, bidding assistance, coordination with franchise utilities, and construction administration. WHPacific assisted tribal staff through the public involvement process, preparing educational handouts and attending public meetings. The Tribe had purchased existing homes to be relocated to the Lashi Street project site; external time constraints required phasing of the lot clearing and road construction to facilitate moving the homes. WHPacific coordinated design services with Indian Health Services, who was retained by the Nisqually Tribe for water main extension and on-site septic design services.
