WHPacific’s Albuquerque office was notified this week that it won the top American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) project award in New Mexico. The prestigious award is the Grand Conceptor award, which is given to the best overall engineering accomplishment in the State. Having won the award for the State of New Mexico, WHPacific can now submit their project for the national ACEC competition.
WHPacific’s submittal focused on McCarran International Airport ATCT and TRACON facility in Las Vegas, NV. This was mostly a facilities project that was being worked on from December of 2008 up until late this year. The staff that worked on it included architects, designers, and civil, mechanical, structural, and electrical engineers.
McCarran Tower has been a feature project for WHPacific for a very long time, and this award is a fantastic recognition of the hard work the staff has put into it over the years.
